About Me
Tech specialist, country living
I have worked as a software programmer and media specialist in the past, winning awards for developing games and software that broke barriers for their accessibility design, for people with disabilities. I travelled the world to perform public speaking engagements that allowed me to present my work, and took those skills on to other tech startups. That led me to where I am now: marketing specialist. My favourite parts of the job previously were connecting with people and creating content that helped us/them get noticed. I love using my experience and skills gained in programming to dissect and analyse the algorithms that control so much of our lives. I think a lack of understanding of these search engine and social media algorithms can really impact front-facing businesses, and doubly so for small business. When you’re running a small business, you don’t have the time to learn all this ever-evolving tech stuff. The good news: I do.

I live in Manjimup and enjoy walking my two rescue dogs, playing music on my guitar, mandolin and ukulele, and cooking. I’m the chef of my house, and happily. Cooking is one of the few things that successfully gets me away from the computer to mentally unplug, same with walking my dogs. I have also recently begun gardening, as I love how well everything grows in this region of the country. My latest success is successfully propagating Cherokee Black heirloom tomatoes.
What Drives My Work
Small Businesses
Small businesses are the lifeblood of any town, yet they are often the most at risk of being left behind digitally. I believe my most vital role is driving foot traffic to your door, so you can continue bringing the value of your work to the town.
Community
While the digital world can erode the fabric of small towns, I’m dedicated to fighting that shift. I work to keep our people connected and our local culture thriving, ensuring that the unique spirit of community remains intact and resilient against the noise of the modern world.
Country Living
I’ve called regional Australia home for years, drawn to the slower pace and the deep-rooted connection to our local industries and festivals. My lifestyle is built on staying local, ensuring my own habits and spending directly support the growth and character of the town I love.
Tech Skills
After a decade working remotely in Melbourne’s tech startup scene, I wanted a change: the best part of my work is the face to face meetups, discussions and strategy sessions. I see the entire town as my office: immersing myself in your business to understand your customers and ensure your digital presence is an authentic reflection of the hard work you do every day.
